- OhioCAN recognizes the diversity of all individuals and their unwavering right to respect, inclusion, equality and belonging.
- OhioCAN supports all spiritual belief systems.
- OhioCAN supports the individual journey and decision of each person.
- OhioCAN supports that there are many paths to recovery and what works for one person may not work for another.
- OhioCAN supports that we are all on personal journeys and will not criticize decisions made by others.
- OhioCAN will not advertise, refer or endorse specific treatment facilities.
- OhioCAN supports educating that “Words Matter” and this contributes to shame and stigma. This includes policymakers, clinicians, and others regarding people who misuse drugs and the medications that treat problematic substance use.
